Planned assessor course

CMMC Certified Assessor (CCA)

The CCA pathway is being prepared for CCP holders who want to move toward assessor work and need deeper preparation in Level 2 assessment methodology, evidence review, and scoring discipline.

Who it is for

For CCP holders preparing for assessor responsibility.

The planned CCA course is for professionals who already hold CCP and want to build the judgment needed for Level 2 assessment work. It is intended for people who expect to evaluate evidence, interview stakeholders, document findings, and work within a disciplined assessment process.

CCA preparation is not an entry point. Learners should arrive with the foundation vocabulary and ecosystem understanding covered by CCP, because assessor work depends on precise use of shared terms and methods.

Topics planned for coverage

Level 2 assessment methodology

  • Assessment planning and scope discipline
  • Practice objectives and determination statements
  • Interviews, examinations, and tests as evidence methods

Evidence evaluation

  • What counts as adequate and sufficient evidence
  • Traceability from requirement to artifact
  • Handling gaps, conflicts, and incomplete responses

Scoring and findings

  • Scoring logic and common errors
  • Writing clear findings that others can review
  • Quality checks before results are finalized

Professional judgment

  • Objectivity and independence in assessment work
  • Scenario practice with ambiguous evidence
  • Escalation, documentation, and review habits
Important boundary: CMMC Training Institute is a training brand. It does not offer CMMC assessment services under this brand, and completing a future preparation course would not by itself grant a credential or guarantee an assessment role.
